Hello beauties. Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a great weekend and a not-so-bad Monday! Today I want to show you a very interesting product from Tarte Cosmetics hope you like it.

It is basically a double-ended priming serum and brightener for eyes. What you have to do is apply the priming serum first under your eyes to prepare for concealer then use the brightener side after your concealer to brighten up the under eye area.

I got this Tarte Tight & Bright Eye Perfector on Tarte's website, and I gotta say I was a little sceptical about it at first because I have never seen anything like this before but I'm so glad I got this because it works. Let me talk you though!

It is basically a double-ended priming serum and brightener for eyes. What you have to do is apply the priming serum first under your eyes to prepare for concealer then use the brightener side after your concealer to brighten up the under eye area.

The priming serum applies very smoothly and it feels a little silicony but nothing crazy which I like. It has teeny tiny light reflecting particles in there but once it's rubbed in you can't see anything. It supposed to smooth skin and diffuse the appearance of fine lines and dark circles before the concealer step. I found that this little priming serum really tightens my under eye area and it does smooth over the little line that I have but I don't know about the dark circle part because it does not have any coverage whatsoever so as far as cancelling dark circles I don't agree at all.

As for the brightening side, it is beyond lovely. It just does what it says, really makes my under eye are appear more radiant and brightened. It comes out yellow with some fine golden shimmers which explains the brightening effect that it gives. It is very light in texture and apply seamlessly. I use my beauty blender to pad this in but I guess fingers will do as well.

It contains 4.5ml (0.15 fl oz) of product each end. It's not a lot but for the price ($18 because it is on half-off at the moment) you just can't go wrong with it. Plus this product contains Maracuja Oil, Vitamin E, Chamomile Extract, Roseroot Extract, Cornflower Extract all that good skincare ingredients and it is formulated without Parabens, Mineral Oil, Phthalates, Triclosan, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Synthetic Fragrances.

(Hope you can see that this product does smooths and brightens my under eye area but very natural looking which I adore!)

I can see myself repurchase this little wonder but I wish Tarte sells the brightener on its own to be honest. It just gives the most natural-looking and brightened under eye. I don't find it cakey nor creasing. Frankly I don't really care for the priming serum just because I use a face primer anyway and it just feels like an unnecessary step in my makeup routine but that being said it is pretty nice if you are looking for an eyes-only smoothing primer. By the way, you can use the priming serum on anywhere that you might have fine lines i.e. expression lines, crow's feet etc because it does make them appear less visible.

That's it guys, short and sweet. I hope this is somewhat helpful if you are thinking about buying it. Let me know how you like it if you do decide to get it. Thank you so much for reading and see you all next time

Hello lovelies, time to show some love for eyeliners. Today I want to show you some of the eyeliners that I have used in the past including drug store and high-end, and compare them since my last "showdown" blogpost had a great feedback, so here it goes...
(Disclaimer: these are just part of my eyeliner collection. I do have some other ones that are only available in Italy so it wouldn't be fair to show them to you. Also I'll do a separate blogpost on liquid eyeliners so stay tuned for that. This one is just about the pencil eyeliners.)
Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds Eyeliners. I have 2 shades here to show you. One is in Brown Glow and the other one is in Golden Diamond.

They are, like the name suggested, very glittery and shimmery especially Golden Diamond, which in my opinion are great for holiday seasons and out in the town at night. They can be used as eyeshadow base as well, and I find they don't budge that way. The Golden Diamond is great for inner corner highlight, just really brighten up the eyes extremely gorgeous in the evening. They go on pretty smooth, nice colour pay-off, but just be careful because they tend to break as they are pretty soft. I really like that they come in twist-up form so I don't have to sharpen them. I do like them and for the price, you just can't go wrong.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner. I have the shade in Bronze. This is hands down the best in the bunch. It goes on so smoothly, never tugs my eyelids, great pigmentation, and it stays on till I decide to take it off. Great eyeliner indeed. I have also been using it as an eyeshadow because the colour is so pretty. It is a bronzy shade obviously but filled with gold sparkles. It retails for $19 but it's on sale at the moment for only $9 so hop to it guys!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal. I own 004 Taupe and 005 Nude. I mainly use them on my waterlines and I find them to be pretty long lasting, especially the Nude shade. The Nude one is a great skin tone colour for cancel any redness on the lower waterlines, it just really neutralise the eyes and make me look awake. It is matte, and goes on smoothly.

Taupe however has some iridescence to it but very subtle. The colour itself is gorgeous and I sometimes even use it as an eyeshadow or a base for any neutral eyeshadows I might use over it. Rimmel Scandaleyes line is really amazing and they are for sure the best drug store eyeliners I've ever used.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, and I have the colour in Perversion which is the blackest black that you can get in the market in my opinion. I have featured this eyeliner in my October Favourites so click here if you wanna know more, but basically this is my favourite eyeliner to use when I want to go for a smokey effect on my eyes. I don't like as an eyeliner because it smudges on me real bad but once I blend it out then it has no problem as far as staying on for the whole day.

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil and I have the shade in 15 Bling Bling which is this gorgeous golden bronzy shade that contains zero glitters so don't be mistaken by the name. Because this colour is so gorgeous and wearable, I sometimes use it as an eyeshadow base. I don't use it on its own as an eyeshadow though because it does crease on me but as a base is pretty awesome. I also use it on my waterlines if I'm doing a bronzed eye look. It glides on pretty smoothly, really cheap and I believe Essence does some other awesome fun colours.

Verdict: They are all pretty good but the Tarte one is by far the best, in all aspects, so if you wanna splurge then I say go ahead and get the Tarte one, but if you are on a budget then Rimmel is the way to go. Hope this is helpful and if you do have some other questions regarding eyeliners then feel free to contact me on twitter/instagram @eflicciardello. Until next time... ...

Hello beauties, happy thursday! Today I want to talk about some of the brush cleaners that I have tried in the past and compare them so that you have a rough idea in case you are not sure which one to go for.

First up it's my all time favourite brush cleaner from MAC. It is a spot cleaner where you just pour a small amount on a kitchen towel and swirl your brushes a few time and that's it. It is great for makeup artist on the go as well as someone who doesn't have time to deep clean their brushes. I have featured this in my last empties blogpost so click here if you fancy giving it a read.

This MAC brush cleaner is the most effective spot cleanser I have ever tried. It comes in a plastic bottle of 235ml product and it costs around 12 euros. It just gets off every single bit of colour and dirt on the brush and it disinfects as well because of the alcohol content, but the only downside is that the bottle leaks sometimes so what I do is depot a little in a small bottle and if I need more I'll just add more in it.

Next up is a recent discovery. I ordered it from beautybay and it is ahh-amazing. It's the ever-so-famous Blendercleaner by Beautyblender, the solid version.

I think everybody should have this. It is just so effective as far as deep cleaning makeup brushes as well as sponges, plus it smells incredible, kind of minty and herbal scented. It is easy to use as well, just wet your brush and swirl on the soap surface till the dirt and colours are all gone. It comes in this very compact plastic case which contains 1 oz of the product. Can you imagine how handy it would be if you travel with it?! It also comes with a drainer so that the soap doesn't mix with the water which is just genius. This is now my HG deep brush cleaner that I cannot live without. It just leaves my brushes so clean, soft and smells amazing. Highly highly recommend!

Moving on to another spot brush cleaner, and it's the Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner by Sephora. FYI this is the old bottle, the new one now is all black. I actually went through 2 of these and I can tell you that this is probably the worst in the bunch. It comes in a spray bottle which is cool but it doesn't clean my brushes well. It leaves colour residue and it smells nothing but alcohol and I just didn't care for it. It costs 8 euros for 60ml and for me it is just not worth the money, and let's be honest if I put another 4 euros I could get a bottle of MAC cleaner for more than triple the amount. Disappointing! So if you are thinking of getting a bottle of this, well DON'T!

Lastly I want to show you this spot brush cleaner by Make Up For Ever. I, for some reason, couldn't find this green bottle anymore they might have changed the packaging just FYI. Now I had thrown away the bottle so I can't show you mine unfortunately please excuse me for that. This is very comparable to the MAC one and they cost pretty much the same as well. It smells very pleasant sort of like cucumber. This comes in a spray bottle unlike the MAC one so if you are a fan of spray bottle then go for this of course but if you don't care then I would suggest the MAC one because it just cleanses a tad better.

There you have it guys, so if you are thinking of getting a brush cleaner either deep clean or spot clean I hope this is somewhat helpful. Let me know if you like this kind of "showdown" blogpost where I compare products from different brands, and if you do then please let me know either commenting down below or tweeting/instagramming me @eflicciardello and I'll make sure to do it more often. Thank you so much for reading and see you soon! Muahh!

I'm never a mascara kinda gal not because I don't like them, I mean who doesn't want long thick and curled lashes right?! It's just that my lashes are short, straight and very hard. They are very difficult to manage and just a pain in the neck to deal with, so I normally skip "the mascara step" when I do my makeup.

I have been on a hunt for the perfect mascara for ages. The sort of  mascara I'm looking for is to hold the curl after using my curler. This is the most important thing for me. I have found some good mascaras in the past that are really good in terms of thickening and lengthening my lashes but never found anything that can hold the curl all day not even for a couple of hours. Very frustrating I'll tell ya. (I hate my lashes!) But all of my "hard work" has finally paid off as I think I just found "the one". Meet: False Lash Architect 4D Waterproof by L'OREAL. This is by far the best mascara I have ever tried. It meets all my requirements for a mascara and I couldn't be happier!

(The wand is kinda long and thin, not one of those rubber plastic ones which it's cool)

This mascara not only thickens and lengthens my lashes but also really holds the curl which is why I like it so much. I wouldn't say that it holds my lash curl all day but a good half day is not a problem with this mascara. I can't complain really because it is already pretty amazing. You wouldn't believe what kind of lashes I have. Stubborn as hell. Really really difficult to curl them and keep the curl in place. Sigh!

This mascara is seriously good stuff. It just coats my lashes beautifully and never clumps up. (I normally do 2 coats) Let me put it this way. If it's good enough for me then it will definitely work for you unless you have even more stubborn lashes which is just really unfortunate. Can't imagine someone who has more stubborn lashes than mine. Also I like sort of thick formulas when it comes to mascaras. I hate wet, runny ones. So if you are like me then you'll like this one.

If I have to, have to pick a con... This mascara is pretty hard to get off. You need a good oil based eye makeup remover for this. Trust me Bioderma doesn't cut it. I normally do a double cleanse when I have this mascara on. For me it's all worth it end of the day because it holds my lash curl well. If you have really straight and hard lashes then you would've understand my pain. I suggest you to give this baby a try you won't be disappointed!

Since we are talking about mascaras then I will give you a mini review on this MUFE Smoky Extravagant Mascara which I got as a sample on one of my Sephora orders

Well I don't like it just because it doesn't do anything to hold my lash curl. It does make my lashes long but that's about it. The formula is rather thick and very dry to the point that I feel like there's nothing in the tube. I do like the wand though as the thin end really does get in the corner and coats every single lash I have. Wouldn't recommend it but again my lashes are difficult to manage, but I do have heard a lot of girls really like it so don't quote me on that!

That's it guys. Really hope that this is helpful and if your lashes are similar to mine then I do suggest to try the L'OREAL False Lash Architect Mascara but in the waterproof version. Oh by the way I now write for Student Fashion and my blogposts are up on Friday usually every two weeks and there should one this Friday so keep an eye on that. For not missing out on anything please follow me on twitter and Instagram

Weekend yes finally. Well today instead of going out I think I'm gonna sort out my beauty products because some of them are really old and expired, and some I just don't reach for anymore so time to "spring clean" my stash! I'm gonna talk you through my "cleaning method" if you will so let's do this.

Weekend yes finally. Well today instead of going out I think I'm gonna sort out my beauty products because some of them are really old and expired, and some I just don't reach for anymore so time to "spring clean" my stash! I'm gonna talk you through my "cleaning method" if you will so let's do this.

First up skincare. Well I've had this Clains sunscreen for over 2 years now and I think it's time to dismiss it as it does say on the back of the tin that use it within 18 months after open it. This is the thing that we beauty junkies should really pay attention to especially when it comes to liquid products as they tend to go off quicker than powder products. NEVER EVER use expired skincare products on your skin. They probably won't really do any harm but some of them might irritate our skin because of the expired ingredients. You just never know, it's better being careful than regretting it later. Am I right?! So this has gotta go. By the way if you wanna know how I think of this sunscreen by Clarins then I'll link my blogpost right here

Next up makeup. Let's start with powders. Powders tend to have longer "life" then liquid products so as long as they don't smell off or look weird then I think you're ok. But I'm still gonna let these go because I just don't reach for them anymore. I do really like the Lepo Rice Powder and the bareMinerals Original Foundation but they're the wrong shades unfortunately. The MUFE HD Powder is just not working for me whatsoever. If you wanna see my disappointing products blogpost then I'll link it here for you so you can find out why I didn't like it.

Concealers. These 2 are really good products but I think they are way passed their expiration dates so they are gonna have to go. The Garnier Roll-on concealer is lovely to use under the eyes because it is very light in texture, and the Avene Corrector is very effective for conceal the redness on my face.

Mascara and eyebrow products. Normally you'll see this (picture above) on any mascara tube and that means bin it after 6 months when opening. However if you have sensitive eyes then I suggest to say goodbye to your mascara after 3 months of use. We have to be careful on the stuff that we use around the eyes as they are the most delicate area than the rest of our faces. As far as eyebrow goes if it's a eyebrow gel then use it within 6 months but for eyebrow pencils shouldn't be a problem up to a year but again it's better to check what it says on the tin.

Lip products. (What can I say?! I'm lipstick junkie.) I'm gonna have to let these go because again some of them are way too old and some I just don't use so ciao belli! I think lipsticks generally have a year or maybe 2 years of shelf life, it depends really. But I'm kinda weird about my lipsticks if I don't use up within a year I'll throw them away because I tend to lick my lips quite a lot, and that's like eating lipsticks so they better be good.

Lastly eyeshadows and eyeliners. This Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow in permanent taupe is very pretty but for some reason it just looks odd on my eyes so I'm letting it go but these eyeliners are kinda old and never really been used so why keeping them?! Like I said before we have to pay attention to products that we use around or in our eyes so just keep on a look out of their expire dates but with powder eyeshadows I think they should be good for up to 2 years maybe even 3 depends on the company or the ingredients in them.

Ok I hope I have helped in some way and if you have any questions please feel free to leave comments down below. I am by no means an expert in product hygiene but I'm very careful when it comes to my beauty products so I think you can trust me on this. I NEVER EVER use expired products and I sometimes even bin them BEFORE they expire so you get the point. Please follow me on twitter and Instagram @eflicciardello for daily photo updates and do follow my blog if you fancy. Have a good weekend and I'll see you next week! Bye! Muahh!

Hey Guys. Today is going to be the second part of my American Haul so let's jump right in! (I'll link the first part of this haul here in case you haven't seen it!)
5. I got the Laneige BB Cushion Foundation in the shade Light from Target. Laneige is a Korean

skincare and makeup brand and I have heard wonderful things about this BB cushion. It contains the actual
compact and a refill which is sweet, a little sample of their hydrating face cream.

6 & 7. I got the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black (Violet Sandalwood Vanilla) and White Perfumes ( Muguet Peony Musk) in rollerballs. I wish we have rollerball perfumes in our Sephora. They are just so handbag friendly, and of course a great way to try out perfumes. Love them!

8. Bumble and bumble Surf Spray. Again heard a lot of it and can't wait to try. By the way this is a miniature one.

9. Another miniature item I got is the PoreFessionals from Benefit. I had a sample of this a while back and really liked it so had to crab it. It's only $10. Thumbs up for that!

10. I ordered one of the Tarte's Amazonian Clay Waterproof eyeliners from the Tarte's website. It's in the shade Bronze. Hopefully it won't budge.

11. Another thing from the Tarte's website. It's the Tight & Bright Eye Perfector. It's a double ended eye product. One side is a Priming Serum and the other end is an eye Brightener. Interesting stuff. I'll let you know.

Point perks. I chose the Better than Sex Mascara by Too faced (100 points) and a mini lipstick by Givenchy (100 points) in the shade 202 Rose Dressing. Sweet ehh?!

I also get to choose some samples with my Sephora online purchase, and here they are. A mini Benefit Push up Liner, a blusher called Fine-One-One to the Rescue also by Benefit. A Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter eye treatment. Soap & Glory Look Better Naked body butter and lastly a little Clean Warm Cotton perfume sample.

I can't wait to try all of them and report back. Comment down below which one you are interested and want me to review. Hope you have enjoyed this rather big Haul (part 1 and 2). Have a lovely day wherever you are and see you in a couple of days! Bye! Muahh!

Hi guys, happy Saturday! Time for another Memebox unboxing... I'll link my last unboxing blogpost here if you haven't seen it already.
This is also one of their Superboxes which contains all full size products. It's a box filled with beauty items that all have collagen in them. It's the Superbox #33, and again this one is sold out but like I said on my last Memebox blogpost they will bring back the popular ones just keep an eye on the site. If you don't know what Memebox is just click the link above of my last unboxing blogpost for full deets.

Let me show you what's inside. This box contains 6 full size products with a total value of $186, and I paid $35 for it so you do the math.

We all know that collagen is an anti-aging ingredient which is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. One can never do with too many collagen-enriched products as they illuminate and firm the skin as well as filling up fine lines and wrinkles while helping to maintain elasticity. Memebox claims that the products in this Collagen box has fast acting formulas that fight the loss of resilience in skin and plumps skin by supporting collagen production. I will report back to you guys once I have put them into test.

1. Ramosu Carestory Collagen Extract 200 10ml ($36)

This one alone is the value of the box, amazing right?!!! This is a concentrated face serum that you use before your moisturiser in order to plump up the skin and make us look youthful.

2. Dermahouse Collagen Firming Cream 30ml ($29)

A face cream claims to deeply moisturise, cancel fine lines and wrinkles as well as improve skin texture and clarity.

3. Dewytree Real Collagen Nutrition Serum 50ml ($39)

A deeply moisturising serum that nourishes the skin, treats enlarged pores, sagging skin and signs of aging. Sounds wonderful right? Let's hope it does what it claims. Can't wait to try...

4. 3W Clinic Collagen Makeup Base 50ml ($30)

This is the only makeup item in the box and apparently it is a green coloured face primer that cancels redness and has blemish-control power as well as making your foundation adhere better and last all day long.

5. The Skin House Wrinkle Collagen Free Spot 30ml ($28)

It's a serum that you use where has fine lines and wrinkles like forehead, around the eye area as well as smile lines in order to nourish the skin and fill in any lines that you might have.
6. abelle So Hot-Burning Concentrate Ampoule 20ml ($24)

This is a hair serum that claims to warm up by itself and absorb deeply into hair. It contains all sorts of high-tech ingredients as well as collagen of course to strengthen the hair as well as making your hair shiny and glowy. I actually used it on Wednesday night and I have to say it is fabulous. It makes my hair smell like candy and feel really light weight afterwards. But it doesn't "heat up" like it says on the bottle. I didn't feel anything although I did get a little on my face and it burnt like hell so be careful! I'll let you know more once I

Hello beauties, time for another review. Now I've had this eye cream in my bathroom cabinet in a long time, finally decide to give it go, and it is beautiful! I've been using it for the past 2 weeks and I think I will re-purchase once it runs out. Now for me to say "re-purchase" is a pretty big statement because I always change up eye creams, never really used the same one twice, but this one just feels so nice and it is inexpensive as well so really can't go wrong with it.

REN is a pretty natural skincare brand, and I know that a lot of people really like it. I, to be honest, don't own any REN skincare products apart from this eye cream, but I think it's time to explore more as I really am loving this. I'm gonna be completely honest here and just get right to the point of why I like it so much.

  • It is light in texture, very light in fact but somehow manages to hydrate my eye contour area very nicely.
  • It is fragrance free so good for sensitive skin.
  • It is formulated with Bio Extracts such as Native Peptides, Hexapeptide - 11, Hydroxyproline, Alpha - Linoleic Acid, Ceramide as well as Plant Collagen, which are good for replenishing and firming our eye contour area, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, brightening and hydrating.
  • I haven't noticed the "anti-aging" part because I really haven't been using it that long, but it does brighten my under eye. I noticed after just one use which is insane.
  • It feels very smooth and it doesn't sit on top of the skin, sinks in really nice and quick.
  • It is formulated without Parabens, Sulphates, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Synthetic Fragrance/Colours, Silicons etc.
  • It doesn't test on animals which we all appreciate.
  • It comes with a pump which is so much better than digging fingers in a tub.
  • It costs 28 pounds for a standard 15ml tube, which is really good as far as eye cream pricing goes.

If I have to pick a CON, which really aren't any in my opinion, I would say it might be too light for those of you who live in really cold areas because it is a very thin texture as I mentioned before so you might need a thicker eye cream if that's the case, but for me it is perfect all year around because the island never really gets that cold in the winter and definitely won't feel greasy for the summer.

That's it guys, short and sweet, nothing else to say apart from it is a pretty darn good all around anti-aging eye cream, and I really like the name: Keep Young and Beautiful Firm and Lift eye cream. Doesn't that sound awesome? Anywayyyyy sorry about me being a complete nerd over there with the name. I highly suggest you trying out this eye cream, trust me you won't be disappointed. Please follow my blog as well as Instagram and Twitter @eflicciardello for daily updates. Thank you and see you on Friday with another review!

Have you tried any REN skincare products?
