If I can only choose one thing, beauty-wise of course, for the rest of my life apart from lip balms and that would be concealers. A good concealer not only covers up any imperfections but also doubles up as a foundation to even out skin tones. I sometimes skip foundations just because I don't feel like I need it everywhere on my face but with concealers I can just dab where I need it and leave the rest of my face breath freely plus concealers have way better coverage than foundations, a little goes a long way so very economical as well.

There's been a hype on this Clarins Instant Concealer (24.50 euros) in the beauty world lately and thanks to Anna from Viviannadoesmakeup, I finally caved and bought it in the shade 02, and I can tell you right now that I love it, I need 01 in my life as well just to lighten up my under eyes a bit more, but 02 works perfectly as it has a nice peachy/salmony tint so it really contrasts with the darkness around my eye area.

It comes in a standard plastic tube which works really well interns of squeezing out just the right amount of product. It comes in 3 shades I believe, not a lot to choose from but again, they are meant to be used under the eyes so I guess 3 shades are enough if I'm honest. This little tube contains 15ml of product which is insanely a lot compares to other concealers I've had in the past. It's like half as much as a normal foundation which will last a long time if you ask me so I'm very happy with the size.

As far as consistency, it is very similar to the Esteé Lauder Double Wear. Also think of Nars radiant creamy concealer but a lot more "liquidy" well I should say creamier really because it is not a liquid, very moisturising though which in my opinion works better under the eyes because I don't know about you but I get dry around my eyes and this works wonders as it never looks cakey nor sticks to dry patches. It blends in like a dream and I just love how it looks on my skin, plus it feels like nothing on which is awesome.

(Left to right: L'Oreal True Match Illuminating Concealer in Ivory Beige, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard and Clarins Instant Concealer in 02)

As for the colour, I did a little comparison of some of my current favourite concealers just so you know what 02 really looks like. As you can see it is very "pinky" compared to the other two, which works well if you have real dark circles or blue veins under the eyes. I even dab some on my cheeks on a no makeup makeup day because the coverage is really good without being thick, looks so natural and covers my redness effortlessly.

I love this concealer, will purchase 01 as well at some point. I still like my Nars one but my skin feels so dry lately as I mentioned and this Clarins one just works better because I noticed the Nars did look a little cakey and dry so that will be saved for warmer months, and as for now Clarins Instant Concealer is my best friend and I seriously cannot recommend enough so thank you Anna, I know I followed you for a reason.

The only "con" if you will with this concealer is that it does settle in my lines under the eyes if I don't powder so I suggest set it with your favourite powder and you'll be good to go.

That's it guys. Short and sweet. It is a bloody good concealer if I haven't said that already, and the formula is out of this world. It worths every penny as it does what it says on the tin and it will last for ages so try it guys, trust me you won't be disappointed.

Thank you guys and as always feel free to contact me via twitter/instagram @eflicciardello if you have any questions or simply comment down below, and don't forget to follow my blog. See you next week! Muahhh!

Now I'm the kinda gal would choose concealers over foundations. I would be happy with just concealers because they can be used for concealing of course and also as foundations. Double duties! Love that!

Summer is way too hot here in Sicily so I tend to stick with just concealers because they are light in texture and high in coverage. Foundations are just too "thick" for my like in the summer time. I'm going to show you 4 of my favorite concealers today so let's get started!

First up is a combo that I have been loving. They are the FakeUp (medium) from Benefit and Mally's Age Rebel (light). Those two together are perfection. I have been using these 2 together as my foundation for the past 2 weeks and they are great. They cover up everything without being thick which is exactly what I need for a hot humid summer.

Next up is an oldie but a goodie. It's the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer (01 light). You probably have seen me talking about this beauty in numerous posts in the past ( is one) as well as on Instagram because it is that good. It covers. It's light. It's great for using under the eyes. Yes it's on the pricier side but I've had this for more than 2 years. A little goes a long way. It's definitely worth the price.

Last but not least is a newbie to my concealer family. I got it from feelunique a month ago. I'll link the haul  if you fancy seeing what else I got. Anyway it's the La Touché Magique Perfect Match Highlighting Concealer by L'OREAL (Ivory Beige). I bought this because my YSL touché éclat is finished, and I want to search for a "dupe" for my beloved YSL. I'm glad I got this because it is very similar to the Touché Éclat. It is light. It conceals my dark circles as well. The most I like about this concealer/highlighter pen is that it is yellow based so it really brightens my under eye area. This stuff is also great for highlighting the high points of my face if I want a more contoured/highlighted effect.

All right beauties. Those 4 concealers are my favs and I don't think I will stop from here. Next on my list is the Bye Bye Under Eye from It Cosmetics which I have heard so many great things about. Will definitely report back once I get my paws on it. Until next time stay gold beauties! Muahh!

Wanna get rid of those nasty under eye bags and hide your dark circles? I might have just right thing for you. Meet Mally Age Reble Nourishing Concealer.

Mally Age Rebel Concealer

I love this little pot. It's very light, doesn't take much space in your makeup bag so you can take it with you on the go for touchups.

I got mine from QVC UK and It came with a set including a foundation, a primer and this little concealer. I am not really keen on the foundation and the primer but I love this concealer. It's very creamy, sort of heavy but for some reason it works really well under my eyes. It really brightens my under eye area, makes me look wide awake. It doesn't settle in my little fine lines either which I like. I do however set it with a powder so that it won't crease and stay put all day. I have however never tried to cover up blemishes or spots with this concealer because the shade it's a tad too light but I assume it would work really well for covering up imperfections as well because it is quite heavy in texture not liquidy at all. If any of you guys have tried it for that purpose please do leave comments and let me know how it goes. I might have to pick up my skin shade if it's good.

Here is a swatch for you. As you can see the texture on the bottom one is quite heavy but very creamy. The top one is after I blended it out. Tip 1: do tap it never drag it around your eyes because it won't look pretty. Tip 2: don't use any brush for this concealer just gently tap it with fingers will get the best result.

I just had a look at the QVC UK website and it looks like all the shades have been sold out (BTW the shade range is quite good. There are 5 shades available including fair, light, medium, rich and tan. So I am sure you will be able to find the perfect shade) and they are only available on wait list, however if you give QVC a call and I am sure they can sort something out for you if you are interested. The full set is £46 which I think it's quite reasonable because all 3 products are full size. I don't think you can get this separately on the website but again call QVC and maybe they can help you out on that.

So yeah, there you have it. Did you sleep late last night? Don't worry try it and noone will even notice
