New Makeup New Look

You guys know how much I love my Météorites pearls by Guerlain. It is hands down the most natural looking illuminating powder I have ever tried, so when Guerlain released their compact version which comes from the Spring 2015 Collection I jumped right in as I wanna see if it's as nice as the pearls and compare for you guys as it might be helpful, so without further a do let's get on with the review of Météorites Compact as I would call it "a photoshop in a compact". The Perfect Neutral Eyeshadow
Makeup most beautiful in the world

First of all let's all take a moment and appreciate the stunning packaging and the gorgeous mosaic print. Man I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm obsessed with it. I can look at it all day and everyday. So darn pretty! The compact is actually in magnetic closure and is made of some sort of plastic material I think, but very high quality though as all Guerlain products are.

There are 3 shades available and I have it in 03 Medium which consists of 5 different colours such as purple, beige, peach, champagne and white. The purple, beige and peach are matte as opposite of champagne and white are actually quite shimmery. Those 5 colours work very well together in order to correct our skin tones and give light and life to the skin. As for the fragrance, it is the classic Météorites scent which is violet and you all probably know by now that it is my favourite scent in the whole wide world. Ahh let me just have another sniff of it... ... ...

(Close-up)

Now a little comparison of both pearls and compact for ya in case you are wondering which one to purchase.

Météorites Pearls
Météorites Compact
PROs
Very densely packed pearls which picks up just the right amount of product.densely pressed powder as well but a lot more pigmented so have to be light handed.
Can mix and match i.e. if you prefer more matte finish then the white shimmery ones can be taken out as I did with mine, and those can actually be used separately as a subtle highlighter, very convenient and economical right?!Handbag friendly, great for touch-up on the go. And love the magnetic closure.
Looks gorgeous on the vanity. Looks luxurious when touch-up in public.
Good value for money as you do get 30g of product.

CONs
Not travel friendlyA little more shimmery than I would normally go for.
Looks very natural and gives just the right amount of light on the skin.A little bit too opaque and can look very “shiny" if go overboard with it.

10g of product in the compact but a little goes a long way. You really need a tiny amount or you’ll end up looking like a disco ball.

So my verdict: It gets a thumbs up because it is just way too gorgeous not to purchase and the fact that it is so travel friendly, but as for performance, the pearls are my preference if I'm honest just because I prefer a more satin towards matte finish but if you have dry skin the compact is a must-have in my opinion, well both really. They are both very nice as far as illuminating and correcting the skin especially when you need to get your photos taken, your skin will look gorgeous on camera.

(Left to right: Hourglass ambient lighting powder in Diffused Light; Météprites Pearls in 02 Clair; and Météorites Compact in 03 Medium. I threw in the Hourglass one just because it is also an illuminating powder. It is obvious that the Compact version is more shimmery and opaque than the Pearls, and the Hourglass one is more yellow toned which is good for under the eyes and anywhere with redness, the powder itself is much "softer" to the touch as opposite of Meteorites which are dense. But I must say that all of them are awesome, they all create softness and light to the skin.)

FYI: if you don't know which colour to choose, I mean it really doesn't matter because all Météorites powders are very light as far as colour pay-off, especially Clair and Medium, you really can't tell any difference, shouldn't go wrong with either, even Doré which is the darkest shade in the range is not even that much darker than Medium. Very forgiving so ordering online shouldn't be a problem at all.

(No filter and no highlighter, just foundation and the Météorites Compact powder on top. Love the glow it gives but if you have oily skin you might wanna stay away from it, but that being said it looks absolutely gorgeous on camera.)

That's it. I hope this post is somewhat helpful. As always follow my blog as well as twitter/instagram @eflicciardello so that you don't miss out on future blogposts.

Thank you and see you all next week with my February Favourites! Take care beauties!

If you have followed me or my blog for a while then you know that I'm not too keen on big eyeshadow palettes. I'm all about duos, quads or quints cuz let's face it we are never gonna go through all the colours in a whole palette and it is just not necessary and such a waste! So if you are like me and feel exactly how I feel about eyeshadow palettes then listen up guys, this little eyeshadow duo which I'm about to show you by Guerlain that just came out this Christmas is a must-have in my opinion. It's in the shade 10 CYGNE NOIR and I think smokey eye wearers are gonna absolutely go nuts with it because it is stunning and perfect for a night out.

I think I don't even need begin to tell you how gorgeous and elegant is the packaging. Guerlain just brings it every time when it comes to packaging and it couldn't be more appropriate for Christmas because of the gold case. The interesting thing about this little duo is that it opens up 180 degree which I have never seen any compact or palette performs like that before. It comes with a velvet pouch like all high-end brands do and a little double-ended sponge applicator which feels really nice especially the pointed side that I found great for applying shadows along both upper and lower lash lines, very sturdy and dense.

I'm a neutral kinda gal when it comes to eyeshadows but if I feel like changing things up a bit, dark purple and subtle green are my choices, and you all probably know by now that I always go for smokey eye no matter when and where I go, it's just something I do and like. I might do a subtle neutral smokey eye for day time but I do like some nice dark smokey eye for night out, and for that this Guerlain duo is simply perfect. I especially love the purple shade which has a satin finish with a little iridescent to it and I even wear it during the day because you can easily go light handed with this and make it very subtle for the day.

(different lightings)

I don't go for the dark grey black glittery shade in this duo that often but I did wear it for a friend's birthday party and got loads compliments. It is so perfect for any special occasions as well as holiday seasons.

They go on smoothly, well not exactly Urban Decay smooth but good enough, easy to blend and do last pretty well on me with an eye base or primer underneath. It has a tiny little fall-out as you would expect with glittery shades but nothing major. I don't know if it's designed to use wet but I did use the purple one wet and it worked great. One thing I would mention though is that you better off using a fluffy blending/crease brush rather then a dense flat eyeshadow brush because it does fall out even with the purple one!

(day time look, used only the purple shade in the duo and a light lilac purple to blend over my crease)

(night out look, used both shades, and paired with a pinky nude lip colour)

(party look, used both shades, and paired with bold lip colours: red and berry)

All in all this little duo is gorgeous and I haven't been able to stop using it ever since I got it. It is gorgeous and I think a lot of you would like it because it simply suits every skintone. Unfortunately it is limited edition and I don't seem to find it anywhere so if your local department stores or malls still have it then I suggest you grab it because you are gonna love it inside and out!

(different lightings: with just the purple shade, and a nude blending colour over the crease, easy to achieve and perfect for day and night)

That's it guys, thank you for your time and have a lovely weekend with your loved ones and see you next week! Muahh!!

Have you tried any eyeshadow duos from Guerlain? Which is your fav?

Are you ready for summer? I know I am. I seriously can't wait for summer, mainly because I get to wear loads and loads bronzers. I know. I love bronzers, they are definitely a must have for me for the summer time, well all year round really.

I have lots bronzers from drug store to highend but I always come back to these 3. They are just my all time favorites. Full stop.

First up Chanel. Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel is hands down the best cream bronzer that I have ever come across.

That's right I've hit pan so you can tell how much I've loved this bronzer.  It is a cream to powder  bronzer, non sticky, non greasy, great for all skin types. One shade suits everyone. How cool is that?! Although people who have very pale skins must be light handed with it or you'll end up looking quite orangey.

You can obviously use it as a normal bronzer or use it to contour. It is also great to use it as a base before your foundation for that bronzing goodness tanned look. It's very light. You won't feel a thing when you put it on, and it smells lovely too. The smell is not that strong and it goes away once you put it on so it is not a major problem for those of you who don't like scented makeup.

It's got some iridescence to it nothing glittery or shimmery, very subtle on the face. Love love love! The only con for me is that it contains paraben which I don't really like but if it's not an issue for you then this might be the "perfect" bronzer. It cost me €40 from my local makeup store but it contains 30g of product, that's quite a lot to be honest. I got this like a year ago and look how much I still have it left. You do the math. Oh by the way I use my Zoeva Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush. for a sheer wash of color.

Guerlain does the best job when it comes to bronzers. There's just something about them, sheer but pigmented enough, right amount of shimmers, the gorgeous scent, the packaging, the everything... I love Guerlain bronzers. Ahhh I just love them. I wanna buy them all if I have the money. The one I own is the Terracotta Light Sheer  Bronzing Powder in the shade 04 Sun Blondes.

You may have heard me talking about this bronzer in my "Top 5 Blusher" blogpost. If you haven't then definitely check it out for more detailed info. It's the perfect bronzer for the summer time to give you the perfect tanned color and the glow. I use my Real Techniques Blush Brush (but any fluffy brush will do) swirl all the colors then apply on my cheeks, my hairline and a little on my nose.

Last but not least, the Nars Laguna Bronzer. You just can't go wrong with it.

It's an everyday bronzer in my opinion, not too matte, not too shimmery. I got the Duo, but you can buy it separately. I am gonna save my breath on this one cuz so many beauty gurus have already talked about it. One of my favorite beauty gurus, Anna from Viviannadoesmakeup has so many videos featuring this lovely bronzer and here is one so make sure you check it out. She is amazing.

So there you have it, my all time favorite bronzers. Summer is coming guys so bronze it up!

Take care!

Don't forget to tweet me  for daily updates! Bye! Muahhh!

First of all look at this packaging guys! JUST LOOK AT IT! Who wouldn't want this on their dressing tables?! That might be one of the reasons why I bought it! Opps!

Seriously, I LOVE this primer. It's one of the best if not THE BEST face primer I have ever used.

(left: with only this primer on middle: with my YSL Youth Liberator foundation on top right: with foundation and Guerlain Meteorites Pearls powder on)

It's light yet moisturizing, it adds radiance and shine on the skin in the most subtle way possible, it absorbs fast, my foundation stays put, and it smells divine. What more does a girl want when it comes to primers?

It comes with a pump which I like. It is a gel that mixed with these rosy pearls and when you pump it, comes out very liquidy. It supposed to diffuse light and diminish imperfections, i.e fine lines, wrinkles and large pore. It dries matte which means a great base before foundation.

The only down side is the price. It costs me 52.90€ from Sephora. I got it when Sephora had 20% off so it's not TOO BAD I guess, but still pricey. That being said this face primer worths every penny in my opinion and I will purchase it again when it runs out. I really wanna try the bronzey shade as well so maybe I'll get that next time. By the way Sephora online is currently out of this one so make sure you pop into the store near you if you want to purchase this primer.

It's very similar compare to the Estée Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator, which I had done a full blogpost on it so click  if you are interested. I honestly prefer the Guerlain one over the Estée Lauder one. Well they are pretty much the same, only the Estée Lauder one has a siliconey feel to it. I like them both but prefer the Guerlain one.

I seriously have nothing bad to say about this primer, I love it. Have I said that already? Well here it goes again, I love it, and I've only had it for like a few days, it's crazy. It's just so luxurious and feels so lovely on the skin. It also has this slight cooling sensation when you apply it on the face. It's all good!

There you have it, hope this helps. I wanna do this review because this is not a cheap product so you better off do some research and see what others have to say about before splurging on it. I really hope this review have helped you in some way and I'll see you next time! XOXO
Here we go beauties another sample review hope you like it. Hey I didn't ramble today, straight into the topic, that's a first! Lol!

I have finished both of these and I can honestly tell you that the Bioderma Corrective Care for Enlarged Pores is a miss for me because it is so drying on my skin. My skin feels extremely uncomfortable after using it. It's like a pore minimizing primer type of thingy as it feels kinda siliconey. It might work for extremely oily skin types but definitely not for someone who has normal or dry skin, not even on slight oily skins I would say because it is that drying. It smells lovely though and that's about it. I will not purchase the full size that's for sure!

(Too matte, too drying for me)

However the Clarins Extra-Firming Day Cream is rather lovely. I had a full size of this years ago and I loved it. I mean Clarins products rarely disappoint me. They just seem to bring it when it comes to skincare products. It's very rich and creamy, extremely hydrating and nourishing. It's targeted for women who are over 30 but again I think everyone can use it over the age of 25.

Now it says it's for all skin types but I personally don't think it would be suitable for oily skins because of the richness of the cream. It might make you oily throughout the day but for normal to dry skin you need to get yourselves a tub of this. The only downside is no SPF but I can layer my SPF over it, no big deal. It smells really nice like all Clarins products do.

Now comes to the good stuff. I leave the best till the last. This Abeille Royale Day Cream (normal to combo skin) by Guerlain is so lush. I had 3 little bags of this and it is heaven. O...M...G seriously it is so gorgeous. It's rich yet light on the skin. It's very nourishing and I do feel my skin looks very healthy, plumped and youthful after using this. It is incredible. I just fell head over heels with this stuff BUT it is so expensive. It costs €70.90 for 30ml (1fl Oz) and €106.90 for 50ml (1.7 fl Oz). I don't think I will buy it now as it is so ridiculously pricy but it is definitely on my Christmas shopping list. It would make a lovely Christmas present don't you think?!

There you have it guys. I hope you've enjoyed my Sample Reviews so far. Another of these will be up on EBR (Elaine's Beauty Reviews) next week so stay tuned for that. Thank you so much for your time and see you all on Saturday! Muahh!

Twitter& Instagram @eflicciardello and don't forget to follow my blog as well. <3 div="">

Hey guys I have a lot of disappointing makeup items to go through with you all today so let's just crack on shall we?!

No.1: These fake lashes which I bought off eBay you should definitely avoid. I don't know which brand exactly but there are a lot of eBay sellers sell this particular brand and if you see them just don't buy them.

They are plastic, and the band is very hard not flexible at all. They are just horrible. Most importantly they are very uncomfortable once applied on eyes. Not worth it.

No.2: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray. I know that some girls swear by it but I have no luck when it comes to makeup sprays. None of them work for me, and this Urban Decay one is no exception. I spray it on after my makeup's done and my face gets oily on the T zone area after a few hours like usual.

I kinda wanna try the Allnighter version as I heard pretty good things about it but again I guess it will be another fail for me as all makeup setting sprays are.

No.3: Guerlain Terracotta Loose Powder Kohl. I love Guerlain products. They are just so luxurious and beautiful. I mean just take a look at this gorgeous packaging. However this loose powder kohl didn't work for me.

It transfers so I have panda eyes all the time which was not very appealing. The powder drops everywhere on my face when using the applicator. It didn't apply so easily as it said it would. I had to dip in several times to archive the intensity I wanted. One swipe didn't cut!

It is very pricey as all Guerlain products are so I had to make it work. So I did. Well kind of. I firstly pour some of the powder into a little pot then spray Mac Fix + onto an angled brow brush then apply as an eyeliner on my upper lash line. I have to say it works this way but too much hassle so it went "hidden" in my makeup drawer.

No.4: the Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer. Beautiful packaging but it's a fail for me.

It's a nice bronzer but it looks muddy and dirty on me. It swatches nicely on my hand but once applied on my face it's a different story. A shame!

No.5: Make Up For Ever HD Powder. Another hyped up product, some like it some don't, and I, hate it.

It's TOO siliconey and don't set my makeup at all. Almost greasy looking in a way and it gives me a white cast under flash photography. I'm just glad I didn't get the full size one lets just put it this way. What a waste of money!

No.6: bareMinerals SPF 30 Natural Sunscreen. I got this off QVC and it comes in a duo set.

The powder itself is very soft and finely milled but it gets greasy and oily looking after a couple of hours even less than that actually and the brush that comes with is just a disaster. It's hard and doesn't apply the powder evenly plus it is not easy to wash. I tried applying the powder with another brush but again too much hassle as I have to depot the powder. Ohh no no I don't have time for that!

No.7: Inglot Sleeks Cream in 97.

Nice pale pink colour I gotta say but it is streak looking once applied on the lip and kinda sticky as well. I don't like how it looks nor how it feels on the lip. Full stop.

No.8: Laura Geller Color Drenched Lip Gloss in Cafe Au Lait. I love Laura Geller makeup to be honest especially her Balance n Brighten powder foundation which I reviewed in my "Best Powder Foundation" blogpost. I'll link it  if you haven't read it already. Unfortunately this lipgloss well I should say this liquid lipstick is a fail for me. Well all liquid lipsticks are fails for me. I just don't like how they look on my lips, very streaky and heavy looking apart from the Hourglass Liquid Rouge which I adore.

Also I and browny lip colors don't get along. This kinda colors just don't suit my complexion.

No.9: Rimmel Apocalips in Nova.

Again another liquid lipstick. Beautiful color but streaky and heavy looking like I mentioned above plus this one has a strange and strong scent which I just can't deal with.

There. These are my disappointing makeup products. I hope this is somewhat helpful to you if you are thinking of buying some of them. Just remember everyone is different and these might work for you just fine.

Let me know in the comments below what you want to read next and I'll try my best to do it. Thank you and see you all next time! Muah!
