Hourglass Heaven

I love Hourglass Cosmetics and I think I speak for a lot of girls as well because Hourglass makeup is just heaven and there are some really fabulous products that are definitely worth the hype and money. 

Today I am going to show you my Hourglass collection and how I think of them. So without further a do let's go for it! 

First up is my very first Hourglass purchase but I have never talked about it which I have no idea why because it is fab. It's the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I got it from sephora and absolutely love it. 

It's so smooth and velvety, just a pleasure to put on. When it comes to face primers I hate those silicone based ones that almost feel greasy and oily in a way and I just don't like that feeling on my face at all. But this baby, oh yah! it's so lovely doesn't feel siliconey at all, just soft and smooth. Pure love! It does hold up my foundation pretty well and smooth out my expression lines and pores. Can't recommend enough. This is the miniature one and I will purchase the full size when this runs out despite the high price tag. Worth it, worth every penny! 

Next up it's the ever so famous Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light. This baby is so hyped up in the beauty world and I can see why. It's gorgeous. It sets my makeup and makes my face glow! I like to use this under eyes, my forehead and down my chin to highlight my face because it is so subtle. I won't go too much into detail as I have a blogpost on this powder so make sure to check it out . Beautiful stuff!

Now let's talk about the Ambient Lighting Blushers. The ones I own are Mood Exposure which is a pinky plum mauve colour, and Dim Infusion which is a light peachy coral shade. Both are gorg.

These blushers are pigmented and give my cheeks are a nice glow without any shimmers. Just the way I like it. Have a look at my "Top 5 Fav Blushers" blogpost for detailed info on Mood Exposure. Dim infusion however is a new purchase and like the Mood Exposure the texture is lovely, a little light for my skintone this time of the year as I do get tanned quite easily but it's lovely anyway. It does give me some colour, good for a "no makeup" makeup day! 

Lastly are those lip products from Hourglass. Femme Nude Lip Stylo in No.5 Nude and Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Empress.

Hourglass just got their lip products right in terms of texture, pigment, colour and everything. I think I don't need to tell you again how much I am in love with those because I have been talking about them WAY TOO MUCH in my previous blogposts, several of them. I'll link just one of them  for you but do check out my blog for other related posts for these lip heroes as well if you fancy hearing how lush they are. Big big thumbs up! Beautiful, just beautiful! 

There you have it. Those are my collection from Hourglass and I don't think I'll stop from here. I can see myself picking up more of the Hourglass products in the future. You can purchase Hourglass products from sephora or spacenk. They are quite pricy but well worth the money in my opinion. Give them a try, pick up something from Hourglass and you'll see why I keep going on and on about it.

KIKO Precision Eyebrow Pencil

Hey guys. It's Thursday and you know what that means?! Time for another review! Today I am going to talk about the Precision Eyebrow Pencil from KIKO Cosmetics. 

KIKO is one of my favorite drug store makeup brands here in Italy. Some of their products are as good as high-end makeup. They are in my opinion really worth trying out, like this eyebrow pencil for example. Just hear me out! 

• The tip of the pencil is so fine so you get a great precision when filling out the brow. 
• It's quite a hard pencil which means you won't distribute the colour too much on the brow.
• It comes with a brush for smoothing out the brow which is always a good thing.
• It is affordable. €5.90 only.
• There's also a sharpener included which is very thoughtful because the pencil itself is so thin and it doesn't fit in with my other regular sharpeners so a big thumbs up for that!  

If you like waxy based brow pencils then you probably won't like this one too much because it is not as waxy. Well it does feel a little I suppose but you can always set it with a brow gel. I use my Benefit Gimme Brow to set it and it works perfectly. 

I bought this after watching the video from Amelia Liana and she said it is the dupe for Anastasia Brow Wiz. I mean I have never tried the brow wiz from Anastasia so I can't tell you if it's true myself but I mean it's Amelia, she knows her beauty products so I trust her opinions 100%, and  you should do too. 

There are 4 shades to choose from and I got the shade in 02 and it matches me perfectly.

Oskia Perfect Cleanser Review

Have you ever said to yourself that would I ever find the perfect cleanser? Well come and have a little read on my thoughts of Oskia's Perfect Cleanser! It might just be the perfect cleanser for you. 

I thought it is time to start a blog post on reviewing Oskia's Perfect Cleanser because there aren't many reviews on this cleanser and let's face it it is not the cheapest cleanser so it would be nice to read all about it before splurging on it!

I am not gonna write down what it says on the box or it will just be a very long boring post. You can however go to the cult beauty website for details of this cleanser. 

The perfect cleanser is a balm cleanser that comes in a  very nice tube which makes it easier to squeeze out the product, and when you rub it between your hands it turns into an oil which I really like. It doesn't feel waxy on your face and it is very easy to spread. Then what you do is add a little water so that the balm turns into a milk lotion and after that you can either rinse it off or wipe it off with a muslin cloth like I do.

Now you can tell after I rinsed it off my skin looks very glowy and health (no filter photo) 

This cleanser is all natural and very beneficial to your skin. It contains not 1 but 8 beauty boosting active ingredients. 

1. MSM for collagen production
2. Coconut cleanses and removes impurities 
3. Zinc Glycine Complex heals, soothes and reduces redness
4. Prebiotic Oligosaccharide protects the skin from harmful bacteria 
5. Rosehip seed oil encourages cellular synthesis and collagen production
6. Vitamin E protects agonist free-radicals
7. Phytosterols, triglycerides
8. Omegas 3,6&9 repair the skin's barrier function to restore softness and elasticity 

Ingredients list 

I have normal to combo skin with a slight sensitivity to it. I have tried many balm cleansers in the past (FYI I don't ever use foam cleansers as they do dry my face out and I just don't like the tight feeling on my skin) and I have to say that this one along with the Emma Hardie balm cleanser are the best ones out there in the market. If I have to compare this one with the Emma Hardie one to be honest I can't tell you the difference apart from the fact that they do smell differently but equally divine. They both remove makeup and cleanse the skin very well, not waxy and easy to spread. They both cost the same but with the Emma Hardie one you get 100ml as for the perfect cleanser you do get 25ml more so 125ml in total. So I would suggest get the Oskia's perfect cleanser over the Emma Hardie one just because you get abit more with what you paid. The Emma Hardie cleanser lasted me 8 months so you can imagine how long the Oskia's one would last me. You do the math. 

All and all this is the perfect cleanser for me. It suits all skin types, very gentle and beneficial to the skin. My trick is that leave this cleanser on your face for like 3-5 mins after you rub it on because it will really penetrate deep down your skin and absorb all the good ingredients.

My Top quot 5" ; Favourite Lipsticks of All Time

I love buying lipsticks just like every other beauty junkies out there. Every colour looks pretty so I wanna have 'em all! However there are "5" in my collection that I tend to reach the most, well there are 6 actually but 2 of them are from the same brand same line so I guess it's "5+1", you know it's pretty hard to narrow it down to "5" so... ...

There we go... And may I just say how much I like just by looking at them?! I know what can I say I love my makeup!!! 

I'll start with my Dior Addict Extreme in 639 Riviera. By the way they're in no particular order, I love them equally! This is in my opinion the perfect coral, it's a little bit towards the orangey side but that's how I like my coral. I think this is the perfect shade for this time of the year, and of course for summer too. It's sheer but you can build it up for sure. It has the perfect shine to it so you don't even need to layer it with a gloss, but you can if you want to obviously. You can do a low-key makeup look to go with it (photo on the right) or an intense smokey-eye look. It goes with everything! 

This is the "+ 1" I was talking about earlier. It's from the same line which is the Dior Addict Extreme in the shade 667 Avenue. This is "the shade" for all year round. It's a glossy rosy pinky kinda colour which in my opinion goes with every makeup look. You can build it up or just wear it sheerly. Don't mind my photo on the left side, my lighting was a bit warm so it looks a little orangey but it really isn't. The one on the right however was taken with the actual day light so you can tell it's definitely pink. I did my eye makeup quite heavily that day but it looked pretty darn good with this shade. Don't you think?! So definitely check it out if you are after a "goes with everything" lipstick. I got this one and the one above from, and it costs 30.50 euros. 

Ok yes "nude". I love "nudes" they are just perfect for everyday use, well, even going out in the evening with a heavy smokey eye. Who said we can't wear "nudes" in the evening?! This is hands down my fav nude in my "nudes" collection. It's from Hourglass, and it's their Femme Nude Lip Stylo in 05 Nude. I got it from spacenk for £22. It's a peachy nude with this gorgeous golden shimmer but very subtle on the lip. It suits my yellowish skintone very well. This shade will look absolute gorgeous when I get a tan in the summer. Can't wait... Come on summer!

This is the Lancome L'Absolu Rouge in 008 Rose Reflect (sorry guys the name is actually rubbed off, but I think that's it). I got it from my local makeup store which is called Profumerie La Gardenia. It's an Italian makeup and perfume store which carries all major luxury makeup brands. This is, like the name said "Rose Reflect", that's exactly what the colour is. Blue toned rosy pink with white shimmer through it, gorgeous for when you have a tan. It, in my opinion looks better with a natural-eye makeup. Just a liner, loads mascara, a little pinky blusher, and that's it. Very creamy in texture, very comfortable to wear it.

Now we are onto RED. My fav colour of all time. It's my go-to evening lip colour. This is the Rouge Dior in 999. (Can you tell I like Dior lipsticks?!) Perfect red in my opinion. I got it again from sephora italia, and it costs 31 euros. This is unlike the Addict Extreme line, it's more creamy in texture and very, I repeat very opaque. One layer and you are good to go. And may I just say It's a tad glossy as well, just a little, it's more velvety so don't need a gloss over it. Well I don't like my red too glossy anyway so this is perfect. But you can wear it with a gloss if you are into glossy effect. It's not drying on the lip, feels very comfortable. It wears quite nicely throughout the night but you do need to touchup after a meal. 

Last, but certainly not least, it's my matte lip choice, the Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Empress by Hourglass. I got it from spacenk, and it was £23. I always go for this when I need my lips to last the whole night without worrying it wears off. The lasting powder is incredible, and it's very opaque. It's matte but not drying, and that's the main reason why I lean towards it so much. when I apply it, I normally put it a little on the back of my hand before to my lips, it's that opaque yes! All you need is one layer, you can however go for another if you really like deep shades. The colour is a deep aubergine, purplely toned wine colour if you will. It's definitely the colour for autumn and winter, and more evening appropriate, but do whatever makes you happy! Wear it in the morning if you want, who cares right?! But for summer day time?... emmmm, not so much! That's just for me. Again, do what you like!

Disclaimer guys. I know they are all highend lip products. That's just personal preference. I, to be 100% honest with you, haven't had any good experiences with drug store lipsticks, but I'll keep on looking, and fingers crossed I will find "the ones" oneday!

Tarte Tight & Bright Eye Perfector

Hello beauties. Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a great weekend and a not-so-bad Monday! Today I want to show you a very interesting product from Tarte Cosmetics hope you like it. 

It is basically a double-ended priming serum and brightener for eyes. What you have to do is apply the priming serum first under your eyes to prepare for concealer then use the brightener side after your concealer to brighten up the under eye area. 

I got this Tarte Tight & Bright Eye Perfector on Tarte's website, and I gotta say I was a little sceptical about it at first because I have never seen anything like this before but I'm so glad I got this because it works. Let me talk you though!

It is basically a double-ended priming serum and brightener for eyes. What you have to do is apply the priming serum first under your eyes to prepare for concealer then use the brightener side after your concealer to brighten up the under eye area. 

The priming serum applies very smoothly and it feels a little silicony but nothing crazy which I like. It has teeny tiny light reflecting particles in there but once it's rubbed in you can't see anything. It supposed to smooth skin and diffuse the appearance of fine lines and dark circles before the concealer step. I found that this little priming serum really tightens my under eye area and it does smooth over the little line that I have but I don't know about the dark circle part because it does not have any coverage whatsoever so as far as cancelling dark circles I don't agree at all. 

As for the brightening side, it is beyond lovely. It just does what it says, really makes my under eye are appear more radiant and brightened. It comes out yellow with some fine golden shimmers which explains the brightening effect that it gives. It is very light in texture and apply seamlessly. I use my beauty blender to pad this in but I guess fingers will do as well. 

It contains 4.5ml (0.15 fl oz) of product each end. It's not a lot but for the price ($18 because it is on half-off at the moment) you just can't go wrong with it. Plus this product contains Maracuja Oil, Vitamin E, Chamomile Extract, Roseroot Extract, Cornflower Extract all that good skincare ingredients and it is formulated without Parabens, Mineral Oil, Phthalates, Triclosan, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Synthetic Fragrances. 

(Hope you can see that this product does smooths and brightens my under eye area but very natural looking which I adore!)

I can see myself repurchase this little wonder but I wish Tarte sells the brightener on its own to be honest. It just gives the most natural-looking and brightened under eye. I don't find it cakey nor creasing. Frankly I don't really care for the priming serum just because I use a face primer anyway and it just feels like an unnecessary step in my makeup routine but that being said it is pretty nice if you are looking for an eyes-only smoothing primer. By the way, you can use the priming serum on anywhere that you might have fine lines i.e. expression lines, crow's feet etc because it does make them appear less visible.
